Family Weekend and Homecoming 2015 are set for September 25-27!
The University of Evansville's annual fall Family Weekend takes place from Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27. This year, UE will celebrate Homecoming on the same weekend! The theme is Forever Purple.
Families of all current UE students and alumni are welcome! This event is a great opportunity for parents, siblings, and grandparents to visit their student on UE's campus, meet their student's new friends, and meet other parents and alumni who are part of our thriving University of Evansville community.
Family Weekend Parent Volunteers NEEDED!
Calling UE parents of sophomores, juniors, and seniors to volunteer at Family Weekend.
Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
• Checking in visitors at check-in tables for one- to two-hour intervals.
• Drive the hospitality cart to pick up visitors from the parking lots.
Volunteer by contacting the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at email@example.com or call 812-488-2586.
At the University of Evansville, we are committed to helping your student discover and achieve their career goals – whether that means attending graduate school or entering the professional workforce.
Here are a few of the ways you can get involved with what's happening in UE's Center for Career Development.
• Encourage your student
: Programs like UE Connect or UE JobLink are excellent tools for connecting your student to employers and to the 31,000 UE alumni around the world. Take a moment to encourage your son or daughter to sign up for UE Connect and UE JobLink so they can take advantage of these tools.
• Know what should be happening:
Among the many resources you can find in our NextStep publication is a checklist laying out the steps your student should take each year of their UE experience to put them in the best position to begin their career after graduation. We encourage parents to also be familiar with that checklist, which can be found here
• Join our professional network:
You can serve as a volunteer career advisor for UE students and graduates in your field, offering guidance, networking, job search advice, and professional information.
• Parent referral process:
If you or your organization have potential internship, co-op, or full-time job opportunities, we would love to hear from you. Please click here to submit your opportunity.
We invite you to explore our website
to learn more about our mission and the services we provide our students, employers, alumni, faculty and staff. Parents can be very helpful in encouraging and supporting their sons and daughters during their major and career exploration process. Therefore, we have provided you with some additional insights and information regarding how you may help your student major in success. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us

Dear UE Parents,
Thanks to you, the library project is now underway. The ARC Construction crew has been hard at work putting in new windows and redoing the first and second floors! It’s wonderful. A new, brighter library is being created – thanks to you and your financial support.
You will be notified about a dedication date and time when we get closer to finishing the project.
Again thank you!

Financial Aid Notifications are being sent in June to returning UE students whose files are complete. All students will receive notice via their UE e-mail, while FAFSA filers will also receive a paper notification via US mail. Awards may also be viewed under the “FA by Year” link on WebAdvisor.
Please view the “FA Status” link on WebAdvisor to determine if any outstanding issues need to be resolved to complete your financial aid file.
The student's “FA by Year” WebAdvisor record will indicate the status of each type of aid offered and if further action is required to finalize the aid. Please return all required documents as soon as possible so aid can be applied to the fall bill. The Office of Students Accounts will make the fall bill available on WebAdvisor on July 15. E-mail notification of the bill will be sent to the student's UE e-mail and other e-mails designated by the student. Students may grant their parent(s) access to WebAdvisor to view the student's financial aid and billing information.

Hello, UE parents! Join us on the Facebook group. This is a valuable forum for sharing information on all things UE with other UE parents!
The Parents Council is working on several items, as well as ongoing duties, but new ideas are always welcomed. Please feel free to post photos, address any questions or concerns, or make suggestions in this Facebook group. If you’re wondering about something, chances are someone else is as well.
If you know a student who is looking for a university and thinking about his or her future, the University of Evansville has just the thing: the Career Advantage Program (CAP). Exploring majors and career options can be an overwhelming process. CAP is an opportunity for high school students visiting campus. Through CAP, we encourage prospective students to begin their major and career exploration early. By working with a career professional, students participate in facilitated self-assessment to discover what their strengths are and how those strengths can be applied in different environments.
If you know a high school student who is currently in this process, send them to UE! Complete the online referral.
